I got back from Carronade about an hour ago. I took about 170 pics and I've quickly sorted and edited through the batch and uploaded the set below. More to follow in the next few days. Click to enlarge/go to original file on Flickr.
Firstly, the venue. Carronade is spread over two main rooms, two minor rooms upstairs and a hall connecting everything together. Here are a couple of pics of the main halls.
One of the main halls
And the t'other
And now onto the games.
Border Reivers - The Affair at Elswick
AVBCW has been simmering below the surface for some time now. A chat with the lads running this game revealed that there is an 'official' set of rules in the works.
The Independent Wargames Brigade were there with their Oriental game - The Battles of Ordos
The RAF Wargames Association were running a participation game based on the Great Escape from Stalag Luft III
The League of Augsburg were displaying another game using the Republic to Empire rules. This time Borodino
The Iron Brigade always put on a good game. This time it was the Relief of Hapibutpur.
More to follow soon. Whole initial gallery at Best pics from Carronade 2011
Excellent, thanks for taking the time not only to take them but also to fling them all up for us to see. Much appreciated.
